Jada Helmer
Jada is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Qualified Supervisor (QS-MH), and DBT-Linehan Board of Certification™ Certified Clinician with extensive experience working with adolescents and adults navigating emotional, behavioral, interpersonal, and substance use challenges. Her background includes supporting survivors of sexual assault, counseling adolescents in diversion programs, and working with adults transitioning out of the penal system.
Originally from Southern Illinois, Jada grew up in a small rural town surrounded by nature, which continues to influence her approach to balance and self-care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Anthropology from Southern Illinois University before completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Florida.
Jada has expanded her clinical expertise through advanced training and
leadership roles, including developing a Substance Abuse Group for adolescents
and serving as Clinical Director of an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for
Substance Use Disorders. She believes treatment should be individualized,
evidence-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Her clinical work focuses heavily on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma
treatment, emotional regulation, and interpersonal challenges. She has received
intensive training in DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE) and Radically Open DBT
(RO DBT), and provides both individual therapy and RO DBT skills groups for
adolescents and adults.
Outside of the office, Jada prioritizes a “life jacket first” approach to self-care and
enjoys hiking, reading, working out, spending time with her pets and friends, trying
new restaurants, and catching up on her favorite TV shows.

Poesephus Beauregard
Mr. Poe is our very important (and very adorable) office companion who takes his role of emotional support quite seriously. He can usually be found cozied up on his heated blanket, enjoying a well-earned nap between “important meetings.” Always dressed to impress in his fancy work shirts, he believes every day at the office deserves a little style.
He makes his rounds throughout the day to greet clients and staff with not so quiet hellos and supervision, offering a calming presence just by being nearby. Mr. Poe is a firm believer in balance—work hard, rest harder—and he models this beautifully through his dedication to napping, observing, and offering moral support from his cozy spot.
Whether off duty or not, you’ll find him enthusiastically batting around his toy mice or not so patiently awaiting his favorite Churu treats, which he accepts with great dignity and appreciation. Whether he’s greeting guests, napping like a pro, or reminding everyone to slow down and breathe, Mr. Poe brings comfort, charm, and a little bit of joy to everyone he meets.
Mr. Poe is devoted to client relations, greeting everyone
with his calm presence and steady emotional support.
