What is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)?
DBT is a type of therapy aimed at decreasing ineffective behaviors that are getting in the way of building a life worth living. Through principles such as validation, positive change, mindfulness, and emotional regulation, clients are able to manage the intense emotions that may be hindering them.
At Just Keep Swimming Counseling, I utilize four modes of treatment to help the client take back control of their behaviors: Individual Sessions, DBT Skills Class, DBT Phone Consultation, and 24/7 access for phone consultation during times of crisis.
